Dehradun, 11 Feb: The Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, Pithowala, has advertised job vacancies for vacant posts of group three in various departments of the State Government. It has been made mandatory for youth to be registered with the employment exchange. Because of this, there was a throng of unemployed youth getting registered at Doon’s employment exchange today. ‘Youths are coming here without proper preparation and incomplete testimonials. Those who are aspiring to get registered at the exchange are welcome and the staff will provide all help, but they must have at least one certificate to prove they are local residents. It can be a driving licence, voter identity card, ration card or domicile certificate. Any one of them along with other certificates is essential for registration at the office,’ said Vinita Kumar, Sub Director, employment exchange. Youths complained about the shortage of employees assisting in form submission and providing registration certificates. ‘There are only two desks; I have been standing here for two hours and don’t know how long I will have to wait for my turn. Look at the queue,’ said Aarti Rawat, one of the candidates.
