Dehradun, 21 Aug: The Journalism and Mass Communication Department of Graphic Era University witnessed mesmerising cultural events and the folk colours as well at its Freshers’ Party, here, today.
Sahil of MJMC won the title of MJMC Fresher and Akansha Thapa of MJMC won the title of Ms Freshers. In BJMC, Sumit Rai won the title of Mr Fresher and Bhavika Jai Singhania won the title of Ms Fresher.
The freshers’ party commenced with a group performance of BJMC 3rd semester students Nikita Patwal, Smita Patwal, Swati Bahuguna and Anjali Bhatt. The party theme was Casino Royale, with the students of Media and Mass Communication 1st semester dressed like famous characters of this James’ Bond movie.
The vocals of Abhinav Tyagi, Harshit Chakraborty, Aditi Negi and Sweta Kalakoti made the audience groove to their music. The trio’s performance of Arti Bisht, Pallavi Bhatnagar of MA(JMC) and BA(JMC) Ayush Chaudhary enthralled the audience.
The main attraction of the event was the Kathak performance by Ayushi Tyagi and lyrical contemporary dance by Shubham Tyagi and Abhay Thapa. The new students were seen singing and dancing with their seniors. The show was anchored by Samagrajeet Singh Negi, Ria Dangwal, Aman Chaudhary and Anita.
