DEHRADUN, 12 Sep: Graphic Era organised a workshop on Wildlife Photography, here, today. Senior wildlife photographer Pawan Negi taught students of Media and Mass Communications the intricacies of wildlife photography during this one day workshop. Negi, who had hit the news headlines for his contribution to the recently telecast “Counting Tiger” documentary on the National Geographic channel, said that wildlife photography needs patience, alertness and sensitivity towards nature and research. Wildlife photographers have a crucial role to play in the conservation of wildlife species, which are getting extinct. They can sensitise and make people aware through their photography. Sharing his experiences in wildlife photography, he said that, initially, wildlife photographers could get scared of jungles and wild animals. But, gradually, with practice and experience, they get acquainted with the behaviour and habits of animals. Negi briefed students about various equipments needed in wildlife photography during this workshop. Vikram Rautela, Sandeep Bhatt, Dr Sayer Ahmed Mir, Vidushi Negi, Akriti Dhoundiyal and Vipul Tiwari witnessed the workshop.
