Law College Dehradun adopts ‘Competition Friendly Syllabus’

Dehradun, 21 Aug: Law College Dehradun of Uttaranchal University adopted the latest syllabus during a Board of Studies meeting held at the college. Principal Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna explained that the guidelines of the University Grants Commission as well as Bar Council of India were completely followed while preparing the syllabus for the courses to be taught. He said that 23% of the syllabus was changed and newly demanded subjects including Energy Laws & Policy and Competition Law were added. Recent and Leading cases decided by the Supreme Court of India were also added to the newly adopted syllabus. This syllabus will be effective from 2019-20 for BA LLB(Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), LLB(Hons) & LLM.
The Board of Studies was chaired by Dr Rajesh Bahuguna, while President Awardee in Research, Prof SD Sharma of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, Dr DN Bhatkoti, Dr Paritosh Singh were present as External Members. Those present as Internal Members were Dr Poonam Rawat, Dr Laxman Singh Rawat, Kumar Ashutosh, Dr Anil Dixit, Anjum Parvez and Dr Jitendra Singh.
