Dehradun, 16 Oct: Raja Rammohan Roy Academy organised the Inter-school Dehradun Private Schools Association Girls’ Football Tournament from 14 to 16 October. Various schools participated in the tournament. After the preliminary round, Moravian Institute, Shishya Public School, New Doon Blossoms School and Raja Rammohan Roy Academy reached the semi-finals.
In the semi-final round, the Moravians defeated Shishya Public School, 3-0, and RRRA defeated New Doon Blossoms School, 3-1. The final match was between Moravian Institute and RRRA. After a tough contest, Moravian Institute emerged as winners of the tournament.
School Director AK Deb gave away the Trophy to the winners. The first Runners-Up received mementoes from Bina Varma, the School Principal. Also present was Bharti Vishnoi, Vice Principal and the Headmistress of the Primary Section.
