RSS celebrates Founding Day in Mussoorie

Mussoorie, 7 Apr: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) celebrated its founding day with great enthusiasm today. Route marches were taken out in Mussoorie by activists of the Sangh. Hundreds of RSS members participated in the march past held in the town and were welcomed at Gandhi Chowk by women showering them with flowers.
The RSS cadre wearing white shirts, brown trousers and black caps were regulated by ‘Path Sanchalaks’ while chanting patriotic and motivational songs. The procession started from Mulingar Chowk and passed through various parts of the town including Landour Bazaar, Mall Road, Jhulaghar, etc. The rally culminated at Gandhi Chowk where ‘pracharks’ addressed the volunteers.
Rajinder Pant said that RSS was founded in 1925 on Vijaya Dashmi in Nagpur. On this day, RSS activists organised ‘Shastra Pooja’. They further threw light on the life of Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, founder of RSS. They stated that Dr Hedgewar was a unique personality who contributed to society by establishing the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh. Speakers on the occasion also described the role of the RSS during the Emergency in 1975. Ankush Nautiyal and Kundeep Jadwan asked RSS activists to serve the nation by serving the public.
