Snowfall continues for third day

DEHRADUN, 13 Dec: Snowfall continued in the hills of Uttarakhand for the third day, today. There was light snowfall in the morning at many places in the hills, while the plains were covered with clouds and experienced light showers.
On the night of Wednesday, Mussoorie, Chakrata and Dhanaulti witnessed the season’s first snowfall. Nagtibba, Surkanda, Dhanaulti in Mussoorie, as well as Chakrata, had substantial snowfall. On Thursday morning, there were light showers in Dehradun, Vikasnagar, Roorkee, Haridwar and Almora in Kumaon.
In Rudraprayag, light snowfall took place in peaks of Kedarnath, Pithoragarh’s Thalkedar and Dhwaj. Munsyari and Nainital also experienced snowfall. The three days of snowfall and rain have made temperatures drop to bone-chilling levels. The Met Department predicts that there will be more snowfall and temperatures are expected to drop another 2-3 degrees centigrade.
The snowfall in tourist destinations has pleased visitors no end.
