3 Day Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign to begin

Haridwar, 9 Feb: A three day Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign on the Flagship programs of the Union Government will begin on 11th February at Laaldhang in Bahadrabad block of Hardwar District.
Meeting the Media at Laaldhang today, the Deputy Director of the Press Information Bureau Prakash Thapliyal informed that this would be 19th such Campaign in Uttarakhand held in a row during the last 7 years. He told that the Campaign would highlight the Central programs like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MREGA), Sarva Shiksha, RTI, National Rural Health Mission, Mid Day Meal, Integrated Child Development Services, Prime Minister's new 15 point program etc.
Thapliyal informed that while the first day of the Campaign would be dedicated to MNREGA and Indira Awas etc, the second day would be focusing on Health. On this day 12th February, a healthy baby show would be attracting large crowd from Laaldhang, Rasulpur, Chamaria, Shyampur, Gaindikhatta and other nearby villages.
On 13th, a Sarva shiksha Rally would be taken out besides the stageshows.
The salient feature of such campaigns is that they are organized amidst entertaining cultural performances. Spearheaded by the Press Information Bureau, the campaign is held with the help of Directorate of Advertisement and visual Publicity (DAVP), Directorate of Field Publicity, Song and Drama Division, All India Radio and Doordarshan as also the District Administration.
The Campaign would also have an Exhibition segment with two dozen stalls showcasing the work being done under different schemes.
