17th All India Kavi Sammelan to be held at Graphic Era

Dehradun, 9 Apr: The 17th All India Poetry Conclave (Kavi Sammelan) of Graphic Era will be held on 15 April. On this occasion, a poet will be conferred the Graphic Era Kavya Gaurav Samman.
The Kavi Sammelan will have many streams of humour in poetry this time. World renowned poet in the field of humour and serious poetry, Dr Praveen Shukla will conduct this event. The illustrious Nawaz Deobandi as well as comic poet Shambhu Shikhar and Sudip Gulam along with VineetChauhan – well known for his comic compositions – will recite their creations at the sammelan. The event will begin at 7 p.m. on 15 April in the Graphic Era University premises.
With the Kavya Gaurav Samman, the University honours a popular poet along with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. So far, famous poets like Dr Gopal Das Neeraj, Dr Santoshananda, Dr Om Prakash Aditya, Dr Hariom Panwar, Dr Ashok Chakradhar, Surendra Sharma, Kunwar Baichan, Munnawar Rana, Kumar Vishwas, Dr Praveen Shukla, Shailesh Lauda and Dr Rahat Indori have been conferred this honour.
