RISHIKESH, 27 May: Two corona-infected patients
admitted to the AIIMS Rishikesh, were discharged from the hospital on Wednesday after their health improved and two consecutive test reports came back negative.
One of them is a staff nurse of AIIMS Institute and the other is a male resident of Dehradun. A 64-year-old male patient from Dehradun was admitted on 2 May for being found corona positive and, on 3 May, a 29- year-old nursing officer of AIIMS was also found to be corona
positive. Both the patients have been discharged from the hospital on Wednesday. AIIMS Director Professor
Ravi Kant said that there is no need to be excessively afraid of the corona virus. He reiterated the use of masks and adherence to social distancing to prevent
transmission. It was possible to return to normal routine despite Corona. He said that this could cause problems to elderly people and people suffering from serious
diseases in the past, so such people needed to take extra precautions. Dr Madhur Uniyal, Staff Officer to the AIIMS Director, said that the health of other Covid positive patients admitted in AIIMS was already better.
