Dehradun, 6 Jul: Additional Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan has been given additional charge as Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister. An order to this effect was issued today by the government. Anand Vardhan will also retain his present responsibilities and the charge of ACS to CM comes as an additional responsibility. Sources claimed that this was done to speed up disposal of files in the CM’s Office. It may be recalled that it was speculated over the past two days that Vardhan might be brought into the CMO.
Till now, the Additional Chief Secretary, Personnel, was handling the responsibility as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) to CM.
