DEHRADUN, 17 Nov: The Chairman Col. R. K. Manucha (Retd.), Principal Ratna Manucha, staff and students of Little Flower School welcomed the Chief Guest Dr S Farooq, President The Himalaya Drug Company, on the occassion of the school’s 22nd Annual Function.

The function began with the choir singing a welcome song for the Chief Guest followed by prize distribution in various categories such as best chart, excellence in art, impeccable manners, good moral values, etc. Children who stood first were Mohd. Maaz in Nursery, Riyad Ansari in KG, Adrika Gairola in Class 1, Harshit Yadav in Class 2, Krishna Mittal in Class 3, Gayatri Puri in Class 4, Dua Ilma in Class 5. Excellence in academics was awarded to Gayatri Puri, Harshit Yadav, Krishna Mittal and Ishan Narula. The Outstanding Student of the year award 2017- 2018 was awarded to Tarasvi Puri. The Little Flower School Trophy was awarded to Blue Bell House .

The prize distribution was followed by a series of programmes. A melodious Welcome Song was sung by the children of Class 1. Playgroup children performed as their favourite cartoon characters. A ‘Krishna -Gopi’ dance by Class 2 won many hearts as the ‘natkhat’ Krishna danced among the gopis.  Nursery children came forth to thank the various helpers found in our society and who make our day to day life simple. Class 5 performed a play called ‘Hamelin’ The ‘horrid’  rats depicted in the play by children, had everyone in splits and the mesmerising Pied Piper hypnotized the audience with his music. The Kindergarten class presented dance forms from different states. Class 3 enthralled the audience with an Assamese dance. The highlight was the fusion dance by the girls of Little Flower who danced to Waka Waka in Bharatnatyam  attire. The programme ended with a performance by Class 4 on a patriotic number. The pride expressed by the children as they waved their National Flag while in pyramid formation was felt even by the captivated audience .

Dr Farooq, appreciated the outstanding efforts by the children and motivated them. Principal Manucha gave the vote of thanks and thanked the staff and parents for their unstinting support in making the Annual Function a grand success.
