Dehradun 15 Jan: A large number of leaders from parties including AAP and Congress today joined the BJP on the occasion of Makar Sankranti in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt. The function was held at the BJP State Headquarters here. On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami observed that, after Treta Yuga, the world will be witnessing the divine moments when Ram Lalla will be seated in his new temple in the presence of PM Modi.
Welcoming the new members, State President Mahendra Bhatt said that Modi has given a lot to the country and, especially, the state and now it is the party leaders’ turn to give back. He said that the victory in the Lok Sabha elections should be so huge that the opponents cannot even imagine. Among those who joined the party included former AAP Convenor Jot Singh Bisht and RP Raturi.
This occasion was described by the party leaders as the launch of the party’s campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Several top leaders of AAP and Congress party along with hundreds of their workers took membership of the BJP. They included State Convenor, AAP, and former Congress leader Jot Singh Bisht, RP Raturi, who had been earlier a Municipal Corporator from Dehradun, Kamlesh Raman, Hem Arya, State Vice President of Kisan Congress Ratnamani Bhatt, Jagat Singh Chauhan from Chakrata and Advocate Himmat Singh Bisht
While welcoming all the new members, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that everyone has come at the auspicious time when the Sun has begun its Uttarayan movement. He said that the people of the country are fortunate that after, Treta Yuga, Dwapara, and now after 5126 years of Kalyuga, Ram Raj is being ushered in India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Due to the aspirations of crores of Sanatanis and the efforts of PM Modi, Lord Ram is going to reside in his temple. The central and state governments have taken steps towards a developed India under the guidance of Modi, in which everyone has to participate and fulfil the mission of Vision 2025 for Uttarakhand.
While presiding over the function, Mahendra Bhatt said that, being the head of the party, he will take full care of the honour and reputation of all the people joining the party. Welcoming all those taking membership with flower garlands and party patka, he said good people are always needed in a party dedicated to good governance and development. All the politicians with a clean image and leadership capabilities are welcomed into the biggest party of the world.
Others who joined the BJP today included Rajesh Bisht, Chandrashekhar Pandit, Balwant Singh, Pinku Bhai, Kamlesh Sharma, Gambhir Negi, Abhay Deepak, Naveen Raj, Shubham Pawar, Rekha Kandpal, Madhav Raturi, Daulat Ram Doval, Bharat Rana, Sati Singh Rana, Vijay Rawat, Kamal Chauhan, Umeed Pawar, Govind Rawat, Surendra Nautiyal, Vijendra Bisht, Chandra Singh Negi, Hukum Singh Negi, Karan Bisht, Captain Pratap Bisht, Manoj Sharma, Lalit Bisht, Mohan Bisht, Bharat Bisht, Basanti Nautiyal and Pancham Das.
Those who joined the party from Chakrata Block today included Jagat Singh Chauhan, Dharam Singh Chauhan, Matwar Singh Chauhan, Tikam Singh Chauhan, Chantu, Shamu, Atharu, Sadhu, Fakiru, Sema, Deepu, Sardar, Gulab, Gulia, Jaipal, Bhagtu, Kripalu, Shibu, Kumpal, Nandlal, Dhaniya, Chetu, Ravi, Khazan, Fakiru, Mangatu, Ajiya, Fishku, Rangia, Munna, Raju, Manish, Babita Chauhan, Vanita Chauhan, Veena, Nirmala Chauhan and Priyanka Chauhan.
The function was organised by State General Secretary Aditya Kothari, and State Media Incharge Manveer Chauhan was also present.
