BJP RS MP Bansal thanks Centre for new Air Services



DEHRADUN , 5 Mar: Central approval has been given for direct air services from Devbhoomi to three major cities of the countr y , Ayodhya, Amritsar and Varanasi. BJP National Co[1]Treasurer and MP, Rajya Sabha, Dr Naresh Bansal has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia for the approval.

Dr Naresh Bansal had recently raised the issue of direct flights from Devbhoomi to Ayodhya, Varanasi and other places of religious importance in a special mention during the budget session of Parliament. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had also discussed the newly constructed new terminal of Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun.

Dr Bansal said that Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is a leading state in pilgrimage and tourism and a large number of pilgrims and tourists visit during the season. People want to come to Devbhoomi directly from various major cities. People from all over India want to visit such important pilgrimage places, hence they had demanded from the Central Government direct flights from Uttarakhand to such places, which has been approved by the Government.

With the start of air service from Devbhoomi to Ayodhya, Varanasi, Amritsar , a large number of devotees and tourists coming from India and abroad will get travel facilities. Similarly, pilgrims traveling from Devbhoomi will also be able to avail this service.
