BJP to start holding Lok Sabha constituency level meetings from today

Dehradun, 11 Sep: Now that the G20 Summit is over, the BJP is now preparing to launch full scale review and preparatory meetings and conferences on the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in the country. In this regard, a state level meeting was held today at the State Party headquarters, today, chaired by State Party President Mahendra Bhatt. It was decided at the meeting to start holding full scale review and preparatory meetings and conferences from tomorrow onwards. The first such meeting will be held tomorrow on the Tehri Lok Sabha constituency.

Union Cabinet Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is also likely to attend these meetings along with the MP concerned and the MLAs from the Parliamentary Constituency, as well as state level office bearers of the party.

While talking to the media at the party headquarters here, today, State President Mahendra Bhatt said the objective of the meetings starting from Dehradun tomorrow is to review and chart out the organisational programmes and prepare future plans for the Lok Sabha elections. He said that in the beginning of the meeting, the local MPs and MLAs will sit together and after that, from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be a detailed discussion with the state level party office bearers given charge of the particular Lok Sabha constituency and the morcha and district presidents of the party.

Bhatt said that the goal of the organisation is clear – after taking ground level feedback from the divisional level officials and listening to their and the public’s problems, the party will consider how to work out solutions. Besides this, plans for successful implementation of Sewa Pakhwadas and other programme to be organised on PM Modi’s birthday, which falls on 17 September, have to be finalised. Also, all possible action plans will be discussed in detail to achieve the target of 51 percent vote share in the Lok Sabha and coming local body elections. He disclosed that Union Cabinet Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be present here to guide the party leaders.

The state media in-charge of BJP, Manveer Chauhan, stated that, in the first phase of these conferences, the programme will be held in Dehradun tomorrow, led by State General Secretary Aditya Kothari. After this, on 13 September, the conference on the Nainital Lok Sabha seat will be held in Haldwani, led by State General Secretary Khilendra Chaudhary. On 14 September, the meeting on the Almora Lok Sabha will be held in Almora to be led by State General Secretary Rajendra Bisht.

In the second phase of these conferences, the conference on Haridwar Lok Sabha seat will be organised in Haridwar on 26 September to be led by State Vice President Kuldeep Kumar, while for the Pauri Lok Sabha, it will be held on 28 September in Srinagar to be led by State Working Committee Member Vijay Kaparwan. In all these programmes, under the leadership of the State President, the Lok Sabha MPs and all the MLAs concerned, state officials and Morcha Presidents, District Presidents, District In-charge and co-in-charge, Mandal President and General Secretary will participate.
