Dehradun, 1 Feb: The Uttarakhand BJP today described the Union Budget presented in Parliament today as the one that would push growth and take the country towards self reliance.
BJP State President Madan Kaushik said that the budget is all-pervading and all-inclusive. This was the budget of a self-reliant India as per the dreams of Prime Minister Modi. He said that Uttarakhand would get the benefit of the provisions made in the budget. He said that this budget would be helpful in making the country a leading economy in the world. This budget would make a significant contribution towards good governance, poverty alleviation, socio-economic transformation and employment generation.
Kaushik claimed that, in the budget, special focus had been given to infrastructural development, health, employment generation, housing, social welfare, farmers welfare, higher education, innovation and research, which would be beneficial for hill states like Uttarakhand.
Former Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said that the general budget would change the scale of the country’s economy and it would lay the foundation of a new India. Nishank said that this budget of the Modi government was a visionary one. He said that the budget reflected the expectations of the countrymen. Increasing the size of the budget to Rs 39.45 lakh crores showed that economy of the country was growing fast even in the Corona period. He congratulated PM Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for this public welfare budget. Nishank said that this budget would promote all round development, generate employment, give strength to the poor and strengthen the farmer.
BJP State Spokesman Suresh Joshi claimed that there was a lot in the budget for hill states like Uttarakhand. Joshi described the Union Budget presented today as beneficial for the development of Uttarakhand. He said that all the hill states including Uttarakhand would benefit from the separate financial provision in the budget under the Parvatmala project and making arrangements for increasing ropeway connectivity. Apart from this, making the borrowings of the states from the RBI interest-free would prove to be very beneficial for small states like Uttarakhand. At the same time, the provision in the budget to help organic farming along the Ganga would also benefit Uttarakhand. BJP MP Anil Baluni too described the budget as historic.
