DEHRADUN, 7 Nov: As part of the Indian Army’s initiative to foster the spirit of National Integration across the countr y, school children from Baramulla, J&K, visited Indian Military Academy, today, under “Op Sadbhavana”. A team comprising 20 boys between 13 to 18 years of age led by Major Pranav Seth, Officer-in-charge of the tour, along with Sub Giriraj Singh visited the premier training institution and interacted with Lt Gen SK Jha, Commandant, Indian Military Academy. This visit to the Academy provided a unique opportunity to all the children hailing from one of the remotest corners of the country to learn about the ways of the Indian Army. The children were highly motivated by the interaction conducted during the tour and many wanted to join the Armed Force and serve the country. Such tours have been at the forefront to integrate and enhance the awareness levels amongst the students as well as citizens who are located in the remote areas of J&K, who have been affected by internal strife due to the proxy war being waged by Pakistan over the last few decades.
