Mussoorie, 23 Aug: A car went out of control and plunged down the hillside near the Nag Mandir on the Mussoorie- Hathipaon road. Five passengers were seriously injured in the accident.
Police reached the site on receiving information and, with the help of the Fire Service, SDRF and local people, rescued the five from the trench and admitted them to the Mussoorie Civil Hospital with the help of 108 ambulances. All the injured are residents of Dehradun.
The police team was led by SSI BL Bharti. Bharti said that the five injured are Akshat (18) s/o Manipal Negi, resident of Rajiv Nagar, Dehradun, Sarthak (20) s/o Pitambar, resident of Rajiv Nagar Pulia, Dehradun, Karthik (21) s/o Vinay, resident of Sahastradhara Crossing, Dehradun , Vansh (21) s/o Raj Singh, resident of Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun, and Yashasvi (18) s/o Raj Singh, resident of Curzon Road, Dehradun. He said that the incident was being investigated; the families of the injured had been informed about the incident. SI Binesh Kumar and SI Neeraj Kathait were also present on the occasion.
