Dehradun, 7 Jun: On day 6 and 7 at the summer camp held at Maa Anandamayee Memorial School Campus, Raiwala, children learned their first lessons in photography from Sanyam Bajaj, a Masters in Photography from IED Madrid – Istituto Europeo di Design, a multifaceted, professional photographer who has worked with organisations like the Delhi Metro, Teach for India, and the German Embassy. He held a session for the children on photography and sustainable living.
During the session on photography, he explained the different technical aspects and encouraged the young ones to develop a passion for any profession they take up. He stressed on the importance of sustainable living in present times, which was about eco-friendly ways of living with examples the children could easily relate with. Sustainable living is a lifestyle that stresses upon reduction in the use of natural resources for individual and societal use by optimum usage of resources gifted by nature and cutting out the waste. He inspired the students to individually do their bit in reducing waste and pollution.
In the evening, Sanyam also took the children on a photo walk to Tibetan Homes School, Gauri Mafi, where they explored various nuances of architectural photography. The evening ended with a group photograph in the playground.
