Dehradun, 6 May: “Education is not just about acquiring degrees, the real treasure lies in the knowledge and experience gained through curiosity, exploration and embracing challenges,” said Dr Rajendra Dobhal, Vice Chancellor, Swami Ram Himalayan University while speaking as the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of the CII-Himalayan Wellness Company training programme. Dr Dobhal further said that students must take advantage of training opportunities and use research labs for innovation using science and technology.
Dr S Farooq, Past Chairman, CII Uttarakhand State Council, and President, Himalaya Wellness Company, Dehradun, stated that continuous learning is like a river that never stops flowing, nurturing minds with new skills and knowledge. He further shared that practical training is the bridge that connects academia to real-world readiness.
Gaurav Lamba, Head, CII Uttarakhand, shared that CII is proactively organising training and exposure visits for students to make them industry ready. He advised students to take full advantage of internship programmes since the practical training and working environment would help them enter the corporate world.
Taking forward the agenda of Education and Skill Development, CII with its member organisation Himalaya Wellness organised practical training on Quality Assurance & Quality Control in Dehradun.
As many as 28 students of Bachelors in Pharmacy & Biotechnology from Graphic Era University, Dr Ram Manohar Lohia College of Pharmacy, and Uttaranchal University were imparted training over a period of 6 weeks with an objective of enhancing their skills with practical learning. Completion certificates were awarded to all the participants.
