MUSSOORIE, 14 Jun: Dehradun CMO Dr BC Ramola inspected the British-era government hospital at Gunhill here, today, along with the Quarantine Centres of Mussoorie and the Sub District Hospital.
Talking to journalists, Dr Ramola said that most of the quarantine centres in Dehradun district had been inspected by him, where all the arrangements have been found to be good; while all the facilities were good, the paperwork by the officers was not satisfactory. He had instructed the officials to ensure the paperwork was up to date so that there was no problem in the future. He reiterated that the health department was doing everything necessary to beat the corona pandemic in the state, for which all health facilities were being upgraded. He urged the people of the state to follow the advisories issued by the government so that the epidemic could be dealt with.
He announced that the sub-district hospital here would soon have an operation theatre. He said that the head of the hospital had been instructed to prepare a proposal regarding the problems at the institution and the facilities required, and to submit it to the CMO’s office for further action. He said the hospital at Gunhill was currently in a dilapidated condition. A plan would be made for its reconstruction.
