Covid Curfew extended till 31 Aug

Dehradun, 23 Aug: Covid Curfew has again been extended in Uttarakhand, this time till the morning of 31 August. Most of the restrictions that are in place already will continue, with the district magistrates being given the authority to impose any additional restrictions in view of the situation on the ground in their respective districts.
Large gatherings, functions and political activities will remain prohibited during the Covid Curfew period unless special permission has been granted. Those returning to their native villages in the hills would have to undergo 7 days of quarantine in the village quarantine centres before being permitted to go home. Markets would open as at the present. Hotels and restaurants would function within fifty percent of their capacity. Those travelling from Kumaon to Garhwal and from Garhwal to Kumaon or coming from other states to Uttarakhand would have to register themselves on the Dehradun smart city portal (http://smartcitydehradun.uk.gov.in) and all the schools, colleges would have to operate in total adherence to the SOPs issued by the authorities.
