Rudraprayag, 20 Oct: Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh, Additional Secretary Saujanya, IG Sanjay Gunjyal and District Magistrate Mangesh Ghilidiyal took stock of arrangements for the yatra and renovation works at Vasukital, Chorabadi Tal and Kedarnath, here, today.
The CS trekked eight kilometres to Vasukital and considered what could be done to provide amenities to those visiting the lake. During his inspection of the Chorabadi Taal, he advised the DM to have the SDRF maintain a regular watch on the site. He also inspected the homes being built for the purohits of Kedarnath.
Before that they visited the Kedarnath Shrine and offered prayers. Also present were EE, DDMA, Pravin Karnwal, DDMO Harish Chandra and other officials.
