Singh also noted that the books skilfully portray the shaping of Pushkar from a childhood marked by the hardships of hill life, drawing inspiration from his grandfather Khem Singh’s ideals, imbibing humility and grace from his mother and emulating the discipline and dedication of his soldier father. Singh also reflected on the significant achievements of Chief Minister Dhami’s leadership, acknowledging Uttarakhand’s progress across several sectors in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. He highlighted the CM’s ability to lead from the front, especially during disasters in Silkyara, Joshimath, and the stretch from Dharali to Tharali, where he personally met affected families and attempted to resolve their issues. The Governor further commended the CM’s firm decisions on strengthening law and order and the successful organisation of several national and international events in Uttarakhand under his administration. The book, he observed, pays tribute to Dhami’s discipline, humility, and compassion.

Dhami, addressing the gathering on this occasion, reminisced about his childhood in the hills, recalling rugged trails, makeshift carts, and his mother’s struggles as the wife of an army man enduring the challenges of hill life. He said he never imagined achieving such a position but was always propelled by a vibrant energy to serve society. He extended gratitude to all present, including the author and publishers.

Swami Chidanand Saraswati of Parmarth Niketan Rishikesh noted that the work being carried out under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership to strengthen India’s unity, cultural heritage, and inclusive development, especially for youth and women, is reflected in the efforts being led by CM Dhami in Uttarakhand.
