Dehradun, 30 Apr: Students of DPS Vikas Nagar made an educational excursion to IIT Roorkee today. During the trip, they visited TIDES (Technology Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development Society), an advanced incubator at the institution. TIDES plays a crucial role in rapid incubation, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and commercialisation of business ideas.
The excursion proved to be an inspiring and enlightening experience for the students. By gaining insights into start-ups and witnessing various machines, especially agricultural drones, students not only developed an understanding of technological advancements but also contemplated future possibilities.
Throughout the excursion, students were briefed on various projects underway at TIDES. They toured several start-ups and engaged in discussions with entrepreneurs, absorbing diverse ideas and presenting their own thoughts.
Principal Sonia Kumar emphasised that the primary objective of the educational excursion was to instil creativity, technical skills, entrepreneurship, and awareness about agriculture among students.
The excursion proved inspirational for the students, who learned a great deal about start-ups and were motivated to start their own ventures in the future. Accompanying the students were Nupur, Neha, Naresh Shah, MS Mehra and Aman Riyal.
