Entrepreneurship Awareness Campaigning Workshop Concludes at Dolphin PGI

DEHRADUN, 13 Mar: The 3- Days Entrepreneurship Awareness Campaigning Workshop concluded in the premises of Dolphin (PG) Institute of Biomedical & Natural Sciences today. The programme was organised by Capacity Building & Skill Development Cell of the institute in collaboration with National Institute for Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (Govt of India) and sponsored by National Science & Technology Entrepreneurships Development Board, Department of Science & Technology (Govt of India) and Supported by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmadabad, Gujarat. 80 students participated in this workshop.
The Chief Guest of the programme & Director, Department of Horticulture, Government of Uttarakhand Dr RC Srivastava said that EDP is the modern concept and Central as well as State Govt. is promoting EDP for generating employment & its optional solutions. He praised the institute for organising the 7th EDP workshop and he also expressed his pleasure viewing the association of the renowned institutions like NISBUD & Entrepreneurships Development Institute of India Ahmadabad Gujarat with this workshop.
Chairman of the institute Arvind Gupta praised the efforts of organizing secretary of the workshop Dr. Sanjay Agarwal for organising the EDP since last 7years. He said that it was not possible for Govt. to provide jobs to all after the new economic policies. He further added that India became the 3rd largest economy and we are playing globally and resultantly and a lot of new start ups have come into existence. He told that India is a country where low cost of raw material and man power can change the global business scenario.
On the second day the participants visited to industrial area in Selaqui where they tried to know the function of Micro, small & medium enterprises. In Anshu Industries the official, Dharmendra explained the function of bottling industry and in Ganpati Hojari the official Manoj Kumar explained the function of Hojari Business, whereas in Bushra Rahmani Traders the participants saw the production of footwear. In the afternoon session, Shailesh Rawat of NISBUD told the participants about service & business industry and also about the micro, small & medium enterprises.
On the third day of the workshop Vijendra Sajwan, Rohit Maise and Prabhakar Bahuguna, all Sr. Faculty of NISBUD gave training to the participants on different aspects of EDP.
The participants expressed that the workshop was very useful and beneficial for them. All the participants were distributed certificates of participation. Organising Secretary of the workshop Dr Sanjay Agarwal delivered his sincere thanks to all the participants & experts. On the occasion Principal of the institute Dr. Shailja Pant, Dr. Raju, Prerna Bahuguna, experts from NISBUD along with faculty, staff and students were also present.
