Faculty Development Program Held at SRHU Jolly Grant

DEHRADUN, 1 June:faculty development program was organized at Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHUJolly Grant. Experts informed the participants about the role of NAAC and NBA in ensuring educational quality.
The online faculty development program was held in the auditorium of the Himalayan School of Science and Technology (HSST) in collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh. Participants understood the importance of the new metrics of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
Dr SS Patnaik from NITTTR discussed the significance of NAAC and NBA, and the process of preparing and mapping specific outcomes, along with a discussion on NAAC assessments. Dr Rakesh Vats conducted a workshop on preparing and mapping course outcomes. Dr Balwinder discussed achievements and rubrics. Dr Manisha Malik provided information on the use of AR/VR and interactive videos in education. Dr Kamaldeep gave insights into creating effective presentations, emphasizing that the goal of the FDP is to enhance educational quality through strategic preparation in line with accreditation standards.
During the program, experts answered questions from participants. Thirty-five faculty members from engineering, management, yoga science, pharmacy, biosciences, nursing, and medical colleges participated. On this occasion, Dr Pramod Kumar, Principal of HSST and the program organizer, thanked everyone. Coordinators Dr Ashish Pasbola, Dr Ashutosh Bhatt, Gaurav Agarwal, and Dr Ashutosh Choudhary contributed to the smooth conduct of the week-long program.
