DEHRADUN, 2 Feb: One person’s vision has the ability to change the history of humankind. Over 200 years ago Bishop Daniel Delany, a Roman Catholic Bishop, founded the congregation of the Brothers of St. Patrick’s, at Tullow in Ireland to bring hope and opportunity into the lives of young people who were deprived of education; today the Patrician Brothers are working all over the world, lighting up the lives of the millions by spreading the religious and literary education.
On February 2, the children, staff and management of St. Patrick’s Academy came together to remember and pay their homage to the services rendered by the Patrician Bothers, an Ireland based Roman Catholic Congregation, A short programme was put up by the children in the school auditorium, which was interspersed with a prayer dance and a skit on life of Bishop Daniel Delany. The school choir was melodious in their singing of the hymns. The programme ended with Brother Joseph, the School Principal’s request to the children to not to waste the time but utilise it in pursuing knowledge.
