Dehradun, 22 Oct: GD Goenka Public School, Dehradun, celebrated its First Founders’ Day on Saturday. The spirit of “Encanto” was wonderfully brought to life with captivating dance performances, musical recitals, and a heart-warming play.
Jyoti Prasad Gairola, Vice President and State Training Head of the Twenty Point Programme, Uttarakhand, was the guest of honour at the event.
The inaugural Founders’ Day festivities commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Guest of Honour and other dignitaries, followed by a welcome song and harmonised melodies by the school choir.
School Principal Anant Vijay Dutt Thapliyal formally welcomed the guests and presented the school report.
Rakesh Nautiyal, Chairman of GD Goenka Public School, also addressed the gathering. The Founders’ Day was also an occasion to recognise and appreciate the outstanding achievements of students in various fields, through a prize distribution ceremony, by Jyoti Prasad Gairola in the presence of the Principal and Chairman.
The programme took place in the presence of founder director KN Nautiyal, board members, teachers and staff.
The main attraction of the evening was the musical play,
‘Encanto’, directed by Team Vibration including Harshit Gupta (Choreographer), Parth Joshi and Shubham Sharma. Ananya Singh and Muskan Zinta were Assistant Choreographers. Durga
Sajwan was the Overall Incharge.
