Gunsola stakes claim to Tehri LS Seat

Mussoorie, 4 Jan: Jot Singh Gunsola, who was the Congress MLA twice from Mussoorie, has staked his claim to the party ticket from Tehri Lok Sabha seat for the coming elections. He said that he was twice president of Mussoorie Municipal Council and twice an MLA. He expressed confidence that the party would repose its faith in him and make him its candidate from Tehri. He reminded that, in his entire political career, he had always worked for the Congress and believed in its policies.
Gunsola told Garhwal Post that recent elections held in five states had revealed the real face of the BJP and it had lost everywhere. Due to the wrong policies of NDA Government, people of the nation were facing lots of problems. Promises made by PM Narendra Modi and BJP leaders to bring black money back to India and deposit Rs 15 lakh in the account of every citizen, to reduce inflation, provide jobs to two crore youths every year and many more had not been fulfilled. He further alleged that Modi was the first Prime Minister who had not addressed a single press conference in his tenure. In the coming election, questions would be asked by the people about what had happen to the promises made during the 2014 election. He asked why the Rafale deal was not being probed by a JPC, if everything was above board.
