HIMS students participate in Pulse Polio Campaign

DEHRADUN, 5 Mar: Students of MSc and MSc Epidemiology at Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS), Jolly Grant, participated in the Pulse Polio Campaign, here, today. The campaign will continue till 9 March.

At Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), postgraduate students from the community medicine department of HIMS, along with MSc and MSc Epidemiology students, are participating in the Pulse Polio Campaign. They are administering polio drops to children door-to[1]door. The campaign is being conducted under the coordination of Primary Health Centre, Raiwala.

Dr Amit Bahuguna, the medical officer of PHC, praised the efforts of HIMS students. Dr Ashok Kumar Srivastava from HIMS stated that, through this campaign, awareness is being raised in society and they are uniting to fight against polio successfully. Dr Abhay Srivastava also contributed to this campaign.

Himalayan Hospital conducts Awareness Campaign on World Hearing Day

DEHRADUN, 5 Mar: On the occasion of World Hearing Day, an awareness campaign was conducted by Himalayan Hospital, Jolly Grant, atthe rural health training centre, Gauharmafi, Raiwala.

It involved participation from MBBS students, including Dr Ashok Kumar Srivastava, Dr Abhay Srivastava, Dr Himanshu Mamgain, and others from the Community Medicine Department of Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences. During this campaign, doctors advised people not to feed milk to sleeping infants and to seek immediate medical advice when experiencing ear pain, while also discouraging excessive use of headphones.
