Dehradun, 1 Nov: Harita Dhara Research Development and Education Foundation (HRDEF) organised its Tenth “Harita Week” from 24 October to 1 November by conducting workshops, a TechFest on AI and Sustainability, using maker approach during the week. At these events, students from under-served background learned about artificial intelligence (AI), computational design thinking, and how to use Smartphone effectively for better learning, safety through sensors and apps. Anant Bhaskar Garg conducted sessions on AI in daily life and shared his experience of working with AI and other intelligent information systems. Dr Manisha conducted sessions with students and their mothers on learning some computational skills through playing games. Parents of GOAL programme students spoke about the performance of their wards and were happy at the way they were learning. Prayanshi talked about Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the role of students and youth in sustainable development. Students gave performances of dance, singing, and storytelling during the TechFest. Rinki and Durga taught paper craft making and students of GyanDhara (GOAL) programme celebrated an eco-friendly green Deepawali. Vijay Kumar, retired Chief Engineer, delivered the valedictory speech. The events were coordinated by Dr Manisha, with efforts from Suman, Kajal, Neeraj, Vijay, Manisha, Sita, Deepak, Rohit, Danish, Sweety and Shivani.
