Dehradun 31 July: It is rightly said, ‘If your actions inspire others to dream more , learn more and become more , you are a leader.’
The auditorium of St. Joseph’s Academy echoed with the spirit of enthusiasm and celebration as the elected council body pledged to live up to the school’s motto,’Laborare est Orare’.
Abiding by all the SOPs provided by the Government, St.Joseph’s Academy organised an offline Investiture Ceremony of both Middle and Senior School, separately, for the academic session 2021-’22 .
The Chief Guests for the day- Dr.R Rajesh Kumar, District Magistrate – Dehradun -for senior school, and Sarita Dobhal – SP city – law and order- for the middle school, were kind enough to grace the occasion with their benign presence. The Patrician Brothers’ Community Leader, Rev. Bro. J.C.Carroll, also presided over the ceremony. The programme commenced with Jessica Dass leading everyone into prayer. The lighting of the inaugural lamp was ensued by a dance by the middle school girls which left everyone awestruck.
Then came the most awaited moment of the day when the Senior School Council proudly marched up to the stage and took their respective positions in order to be administered the oath by the Principal, Rev. Bro. Jeyaseelan. The pinning of badges on to the Council was done by the honourable Chief Guests- Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar and Ms.Sarita Dobhal, The Community Leader – Rev. Bro.J.C. Carroll, the Principal, Rev. Bro. Jeyaseelan, the Vice-Principal, Rev. Bro. Astinus Kujur,the Coordinators, the House Moderators, and the teachers.
The school choir enthralled everyone with the melodious rendition of the songs , ‘Aashayein’, ‘Light the candles’ and ‘Showers of blessings’, which was followed by stunning dance performances.
The proceedings of the day concluded with the Chief Guest addressing the gathering and inspiring the young Josephites to attain higher goals in life. Lastly, the Principal proposed a vote of thanks expressing his heartfelt gratitude to one and all.
