Dehradun, 14 Nov: Max Super Speciality Hospital, on the occasion of World Diabetes Day, today, launched its ‘Diabetic Care Coupon’. This coupon will offer examination and consultation and various tests/diagnosis keeping in mind several visits of diabetic patients. This initiative is in line with Max Healthcare’s focus to extend support for chronic ailments like diabetes.
This coupon will offer access to specialised doctors (including Diabetologist, Ophthalmologists and dieticians). It will provide necessary detection tools like retina scan and HBA1C test.
The Diabetic Care Coupon was launched by Mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’, along with Dr Yogesh Yadav, Diabetologist, Sandeep Singh Tanwar, Vice President, Operations & Unit Head, Max Hospital. According to a recent report, diabetes will be the world’s seventh largest killer by 2030. India is known as the diabetic capital of the world. Diabetes attacks one’s whole system and especially the vital organs like eyes, skin, foot and kidneys. The diabetic care coupon has been launched because it is a lifestyle disorder and cannot be treated with just medication.
In India, approximately 70 million individuals are living with diabetes, making it the second largest diabetic population in the world. There is a dire need for early detection, prevention, treatment and a holistic management of the disease.
