MLA Joshi reviews preparations for Winterline Carnival

MUSSOORIE, 19 Dec: With regard to the successful organisation of the Winterline Carnival to be held at various venues here from 25 to 30 December, Festival Committee Vice President and Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi held a meeting with officials concerned at his residence, today. He issued instructions that all the work for the carnival should be completed on time and there should not be any inconvenience to tourists. The officials of the Jal Nigam were strongly reprimanded for not reaching the meeting on time. MLA Joshi said that proper arrangements should also be made for easy parking, traffic management, security system, availability of drinking water and electricity, cleaning system and bonfires at the main squares of the town due to cold weather. It should also be ensured that plastic is not used. MLA Ganesh Joshi said that Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat would inaugurate the Carnival on 25 December. A 108 foot high national flag would also be unfurled at Jhulaghar. All the health facilities would be available at the Landour Community Health Centre. He also disclosed that a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee would be installed on Mall Road, the site for which would be identified by the MDDA. Work on the Bhiladu Stadium would also begin soon. Present on the occasion were Mussoorie BJP President Mohan Petwal, Kushal Rana, Mukesh Dhanai, Ramesh Khanduri, Manoj Kharola, Kuldeep Jadwan, Abhilash, EE Shyam Mohan Sharma of MDDA, AE Trepan Singh Rawat of Jal Santhan, AE Karthik Kamboj of Jal Nigam, SDO, Electricity, Pankaj Thapliyal, PWD JE Sansar Singh and others.
