New Delhi, 19 Oct: While talking to the media in New Delhi, on his return from a 3 day tour of UAE, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that under the Uttarakhand Global Investor Summit, meetings were held with various investor groups first in London, Birmingham, Delhi and now in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. He said that many agreements have been signed with investors in tourism, health, education, pharma, agriculture and agro processing sectors. He claimed that investors appear to be serious towards investing in Uttarakhand and set up their units here.
Dhami informed that so far MoUs worth more than Rs 54,000 crore have already been signed with the potential investors during his interactions with them against a targeted investment of Rs 2.5 lakh crore during the upcoming Global Investors Summit in Dehradun. He informed that MoUs worth more than Rs 15,400 crore had been signed with the investors during his UAE trip.
The CM said that agreements on investments worth thousands of crore have been signed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Apart from this, many proposals have also been received. He added that dialogues and road shows will be held with investors in other cities of the country also. The Chief Minister said that the effort of the state government is to implement all the agreements made so far by the proposed Investors Summit in Dehradun on 8 and 9 December 2023. He said that whatever suggestions are being received in various meetings, will be considered sincerely and implemented on merit. Whatever agreements have been signed and whatever proposals have come, which are useful for the state and can be beneficial in the future, further work will be done after fully assessing them. Along with investment, proposals and agreements that provide employment to local people and strengthen the primary sector will be encouraged on priority basis. The CM said that whatever policies have been made by the state government, they have been made keeping in mind the interests of investors, industries and the people of Uttarakhand.
Dhami said that during the two-day UAE visit, a total of investment MoUs worth fifteen thousand four hundred seventy-five crores rupees were signed. Under which investment MoUs worth Rs 11,925 crore were signed in Dubai on the first day and investment MoUs worth Rs 3,550 crore were signed in Abu Dhabi on the second day.
He also reminded that investment MoUs worth Rs 54,550 crore have been signed so far in UAE, Britain and Delhi. MoUs worth Rs 15,475 crore were signed in UAE, Rs 12,500 crore in Britain and Rs 12 thousand 500 crore in Britain and MoUs worth Rs 26,575 crore in two different programmes organised in Delhi have been signed.
