New air services to begin shortly from Dehradun Airport

Dehradun, 28 Feb: Air services are set to get further expansion at Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport. According to the Airport Authorities, IndiGo’s air service is starting from Dehradun to Pantnagar from 27 March. This will be in addition to the already existing Alliance Air flight to Pantnagar from here.
From 27 March, Indigo Airlines’ services coming from Delhi to Pantnagar to Dehradun and from Dehradun to Pantnagar to Delhi are set to begin. This flight will take off from Delhi for Pantnagar at 12:45 p.m. and will reach Pantnagar at 1:50 p.m. After this, the same aircraft will fly from Pantnagar to Dehradun at 2:10 p.m. and will reach Jolly Grant airport at 3 p.m. After this it will take off from
Jolly Grant for Pantnagar at 3:20 p.m. and reach Pantnagar at 4:05 p.m. After stopping for 20 minutes at Pantnagar, it will leave for Delhi and will reach Delhi at 5:35 p.m. This aircraft will be a 78- seater ATR aircraft of Indigo Airlines.
It may also be recalled that with the possibility of fog waning now, some hitherto suspended train services are also expected to resume shortly. After two months, the Dehradun-Ujjain Express will be operated by the Railways from tomorrow. The preparations for the operation have been completed by the railway officials. At the same time, Dehradun-Varanasi Janata Express will also be operated from Wednesday. Due to dense fog in many states of North India, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, New Delhi, the operation of more than 50 trains was stopped by the Railway Board for two months. In this duration, the operation of the Dehradun-Varanasi Janata Express and Dehradun- Ujjain Express was also stopped.
