DEHRADUN, 1 Aug: Graphic Era Hill University began its new session at the Schools of Management and Computing, here, today. The masters and the students of bachelor’s degrees were at the induction programme. The purpose of the programme was to acquaint students with the academic and university environment. The students later on participated in various activities. Dr VM Tripathi, Professor, School of Commerce, told them about the curriculum and achievements of the students entering the BCom course. Former students Harsh Punia and Simran Sethi of BCom Honours, shared their experiences with the freshers and also told them about employment opportunities and the personality development at the university. Dr Rajdev Tiwari from School of Computing told future computer engineers about the importance of information technology. BSc student Sagar Agarwal introduced new students to the nuances of ethical hacking. The theme of the induction programme at School of Management was based on the theme, Inception to Perfection. Head of the School of Management Prof Dr Vishal Sagar explained the importance of discipline, responsibility and ethics to the students and also motivated them to meet their parents’ aspirations. Dr Shilpa Wadhwa and Himanshu Kargati provided a platform to the new students to get acquainted with each other at an ice breaking session. On this occasion, the Heads of Departments and teachers of various departments also participated in various activities with the students.
