Dehradun, 14 Mar: A ‘Sarva Dharam Prathana Sabha’ was held in the auditorium of Children’s Academy here, today, in memory of the late Wazir Chand Kashyap, founder director of the Academy.
Floral tributes were offered to the visionary by Dr Prem Kashyap, Chairman, Children’s Academy, Kiran Kashyap, Dr Jagdish Pant, Anil Mehra, Akash Kashyap, Sharad Kashyap, Rashi Kashyap, Principal Sonia, other eminent guests and school staff
Tributes were offered by students of class IX through speeches highlighting the life of WC Kashyap. Devotional songs were sung by the school choir and teachers.
On this occasion, Sharad Kashyap emphasised on hard work. Dr Jagdish Pant remembered WC Kashyap as a man of principles who devoted his life to the cause of spreading education. Anil Mehra threw light on the founder’s moral values, which made him a man who could withstand every challenge of life.
Remembering his father, the late WC Kashyap, Dr Prem Kashyap laid emphasis on following the principles of ‘knowledge’, highlighting it as a power in one’s life, especially as teachers.
