Dehradun, 31 Jan: The Junior School Project cum Art & Craft Exhibition was organised, today, in the St Joseph’s Academy auditorium, showcasing an array of craft items and theme based projects made by the students of classes LKG to V.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force in Uttarakhand, Jai Raj. Also present on the occasion were Principal Bro Jeyaseelan S, Vice Principal Bro Binoi, Junior School Coordinator S Hasan, and the Senior School coordinator Sumit Gupta, staff and parents.
The exhibition was open for the parents who marveled at the spectacular canvas of art work, 3D models and paintings prepared by the Junior School Students over the academic year.
Some of the highlights of the exhibition were the Circus selfie corner put up by the students of Upper Kindergarten and the Garhwali folk dance by class V students to welcome the Chief Guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Jai Raj recalled his days as a student in SJA and commended the students for exhibiting plastic free crafts. He encouraged the students to remain conscious of their environment and stated that it was in the hands of every citizen, especially the children, to ensure that the country remains clean and green. “We need to manage our lifestyles properly as the earth is warming up and creating havoc. The younger generations are the torch bearers of the future. Clean air, water and environment are the need of the hour and we must join hands for the cause of our planet,” he declared.
Bro Jeyaseelan S also appreciated the students and their teachers for their efforts and presented the Chief Guest a memento.
