Rains cause dip in Mussoorie weather

MUSSOORIE, 26 Nov: Due to light rains in the Queen of the Hills, late evening on Tuesday, there was a heavy fall in temperature, which increased the cold, forcing the tourists to stay inside the rooms of their hotels. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in the next 24 hours in Mussoorie and the surrounding areas, while the high altitude areas may receive snowfall. The rain has recorded a drastic drop in temperature, which has led to increase in the cold. The people are troubled by the cold, especially labourers and poor people. Expectation of snowfall in Mussoorie has increased significantly and, if the weather remains the same, then in the coming day, Mussoorie may have the first snowfall of this season. To avoid the cold, people are lighting bonfires and wearing warm clothes. According to the Meteorological Department, snowfall of one to two feet has also been recorded at an altitude of more than 3000 metres. Due to this, cold in the state has suddenly increased.
