Samriddh falters in Panchkula


DEHRADUN, 24 Jan: The Indian Golf Union sub-junior/ junior golf feeder tour concluded in Panchkula on Wednesday.
Day 1 was played on 22 January. All the golfers competed in the rain, cold and very windy weather. However, day 2 was very pleasant, bright and sunny. Around 300 golfers displayed their skills in this tournament. A total of 8 tournaments will be conducted this year.
Samriddh Chand Thakur, a Class 3 student of St Patrick’s Academy, Dehradun, and a member of FRIMA Golf Course, struggled with his game this time and finished in 6th position out of 13 participants in his category.
In Category A, the winners were, first, Suryaveer – 1st day, 88, 2nd day, 85; Sonu – 80,94; and Anish-86,92.
In Category B, the winners were, first, Hartej – 84,82; Aryaman – 85,82; and Ojas – 83,87. In Category C, the winners were, first, Manyaveer – 87,84: Ajay – 87,86; Avneet -93,81. In Category D, the winners were, first, Samarpratap – 80,76; Kanav – 85,71; Krish – 80,80. In Category E, the winners were, first, Danish – 36,38; Deeyon – 39,36; Chaitanya – 39,43; 6th Samriddh – 41,46.
