Dehradun, 5 May: NUMI: The Guarded Loop by Nupur Sandhu, the spiritual journey of a young Nuha, was launched here, today, at a local cafe.
The session was moderated by Aakriti and Rohan to discuss the book, spirituality, past lives and much more.
Sandhu’s “NUMI: The Guarded Loop” takes readers through the mystic, beautiful and intriguing journey of Nuha, a sensitive young girl. The author, who has previously written two books, told the audience that she started writing NUMI in 2015 and how this book has had a journey of its own. Describing her experience, she said, “For the first time in my life, I was experiencing auto-writing like someone was dictating to me.” Further, the conversation moved towards a reader’s perspective, which Rohan described as a completely fresh reading experience as the author was dealing with multiple timelines and lives.
Talking about spirituality, Aakriti said that, for her, it is all about knowing oneself and looking within and evaluating one’s habits. Being a movie aficionado, she also quoted a motivational dialogue from Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.
Further, the conversation moved to topics of mental health and the scenario in India. Both the panellists, Aakriti and Nupur, who is also a ‘Serenity Surrender Therapist’, talked about real life learning instances when people had shared their problems.
The author also performed some of her poems with Madhvi on the guitar.
