Pithoragarh, 12 Jun: Shailesh Bagauli, Secretary Personnel and Vigilance, Higher Education, Information Technology, Council of Ministers, and Information who arrived on a four–day district tour, reviewed various development schemes with the concerned officials at Vikas Bhavan Auditorium on Monday and gave necessary guidelines to the concerned officials.
During the review of the “Apano School Apnu Praman” scheme, Secretary Bagauli expressed his dissatisfaction over receiving fewer applications from the students and directed the nodal officer, Additional District Magistrate, to review the scheme regularly with the Deputy District Magistrates and officials of the Education Department.
While reviewing the “e-office” scheme, the secretary instructed that the letters sent from the office of the District Magistrate and Chief Development Officer to the government should be sent only through the e-office and not through any other means.
Inspecting “Jal Jeevan Mission”, the Secretary said that during the visit to the rural areas of the district, complaints have been heard from the villagers that in the areas where the work under Jal Jeevan Mission has been completed, there is no supply of drinking water in the taps.

Bagauli instructed the District Magistrate that in the villages and areas where the works have been completed under the Jal Jeevan Mission, a survey should be done by sending a team of administration to see how many families are there, how many families are getting drinking water and of what quantity.
Reviewing ‘Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana’, the Secretary instructed the District Service Planning Officer that according to the demand of the children, training should be given to them in the respective trades and data should also be collected on what children are doing after training in different trades.

Analyzing the Horticulture and Agriculture works, the Secretary instructed the officers of the Horticulture, Agriculture, Reap Project and Animal Husbandry Department that efforts should be made to make the district self-dependent in the field of each product. Data should be collected about which product is being produced in the district in what quantity and where is that product being supplied. What quantity of related products are being imported from outside the district. After collecting this data, production should be increased according to the demand.
During the review of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Secretary directed the concerned officials to provide the details of the reasons why the construction works of houses approved in the last several years are pending.
The Secretary instructed the District Magistrate and the Chief Development Officer that if any problems are being faced in the implementation of the schemes, the government should be informed so that their solution can be found.
District Magistrate Reena Joshi, Chief Development Officer Varun Chaudhary, Additional District Magistrate Fincharam Chauhan, Deputy District Magistrate Anil Shukla, District Development Officer Rama Goswami, DSTO Niranjan Prasad and officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
