Dehradun, 31 Jan: Following the success of his critically acclaimed first novel, the new book ‘Sense of Quiet’ by Dr Deepak Kripal has been released. The book is a realistic contemporary drama inspired by real-life events and written in about 4 years’ time. This illustrated novel explores the complicated web of relationships and their ramifications in our society known for its complex class system, ambitions, religion, corruption, personality differences and pressures.
The characters of the book have been set in Haridwar. The story revolves around medical practitioners and their friends who are struggling with their careers and relationships. Dr Kripal’s books are known for their depth and complexity of human feelings and emotions. He interviewed many people in Haridwar to develop the characters and got hold of conversation styles, body language and their perspective to look at things in their lives from their perspective.
Dr Kripal said, “It was easier for me to delve deeper into the professional and personal struggles of doctors, as my wife and I are practicing doctors.”
Dr Kripal currently works for NTPC Ltd. The book is available in all major bookstores in the country as well as on online retail platforms including Amazon and Flipkart. The novel is also available worldwide on Amazon in all major countries. In terms of ranking, his novel has maintained its ranking in the top 100 ever since pre-orders were unveiled.
