DEHRADUN, 23 Mar: Today is your day- was the apt slogan for the vivacious children of UKG Classes of St. Patrick’s Academy on March 23, when they bid adieu to the Kindergarten.
Looking cheerful and bright in their green robes and graduation hats, they walked right into the hearts of the audience with their innocent and endearing performances.
The programme began with the School Principal, Brother Joseph welcoming the Chief Guest, Civil Judge, Neha Kushawaha to the school. The very young children put up an entertaining programme comprising of a prayer dance, celebration dances and songs. The proud parents broke into a huge applause when the children thanked all, from the school guards to the school principal, for making their Kindergarten years memorable. The UKG Children carried out the event on their small, yet, strong shoulders with much aplomb.
The Chief Guest, in her address lauded the young children’s confidence on the stage. She thanked Brother Joseph for providing her with an opportunity to become a part of the programme. In her address to the parents, she asked them to keep an open communication with the children and keep them safe against sexual harassment.
The programme ended with the children going home happily with their proud parents, carrying their diplomas.
