‘Swacch Bharat Pakhwada’ concludes at ONGC

DEHRADUN, 15 Jul: The valedictory function of the Swacchta Pakhwada (1-15 July) under the Swacchta Mission was organised in the Atrium of Green Hills, ONGC Tel Bhavan, here, today. Executive Director – Head, Corporate Administration Preeta Pant Vyas was the Chief Guest on the occasion. SC Jhalidiyal, GM(HR)-Incharge, CSR, presided over the function. Rajneesh Trivedi, Incharge, CC, senior officers and a large number of ONGCians were also present on the occasion. An interesting and educative Nukkad Natak, an experiential and engaging play as part of the Swachhta Pakhwda, was presented by the Prayaas Jagrukta Manch, a local group of enthusiastic theatre artists of Dehradun. The Nukkad Natak was coordinated by Sanjay Bhatt, Secretary, Employees Welfare Committee, Dehradun. The Nukkad Natak was also staged at Gandhi Park, proving a pleasant surprise for the visitors in the afternoon. The play spread the message and changed the mindset of one and all on the significance of cleanliness and hygiene for a clean and healthy India, receiving appreciation and applause from the large number of people present. Earlier, SC Jhaldiyal, GM- Incharge, CSR, briefed on the activities undertaken during the Pakhwada. He shared the various steps taken by ONGC in the Swacchta Pakhwada for cleanliness in the various areas in and around ONGC and Dehradun and congratulated the CSR team for its efforts to make the fortnight a success. He emphasised that cleanliness ought to be a continuous habit. Awards were given to the employees, their wards and spouses who were the winners of the poster and slogan competitions organised during the Pakhwada. The cleanliness drive and awareness campaign during the Pakhwada was carried out in the Tel Bhavan campus, ONGC colony and in various schools during which senior officers, residents of ONGC colony, team CSR and school children actively took part and were sensitised about the cleanliness and sanitation in and around them. The programme was conducted by BS Negi, Chief Manager (HR).
