Teachers absent for a long period to be compulsorily retired: Dr Dhan Singh Rawat

Dehradun, 7 Jun: School Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat attended a meeting of departmental officers at the Directorate of School Education, here, today. He said that teachers who have been absent for a long time and those posted in other states would be identified and compulsorily retired. For this, the departmental officers have been instructed to identify such teachers and prepare a list. Applications will also be taken from physically and mentally disabled teachers seeking voluntary retirement so that new teachers can be appointed in their place. A Manav Sampada Portal will be prepared to make complete details of teachers available online in the Education Department, whose operation will be under the State Education Review Centre.
Dr Rawat said that, under the new education policy, human resources and career counseling portals will be prepared under Vidya Samiksha Kendra, so that students can get information about various fields related.

He added that through the Manav Sampada Portal, online posting of teachers in schools, salary process, sanction of leave, arrears, retirement dues and compassionate appointment of dependants of deceased, other functions will be done. An IT cell will also be formed under the department, in which IT experts will be deployed through outsourcing. They will provide all kinds of cooperation to the education department in IT-related work.
A detailed discussion was held on various issues with executing bodies regarding the construction works going on in the state and the start of new works. DPR of cluster schools and PM-Shri schools were asked to be prepared and presented within two weeks. Clear instructions were given by the departmental minister to the executing bodies that DPRs for new construction works should be made available on time, in which considering the geographical conditions there, all the requirements should also be included. Apart from this, instructions were also given to make the DPR of major and minor repair works of school buildings available to the department on time so that funds could be released on time.
Additional Secretary, School Education, Yogendra Yadav, Director General, School Education Bansidhar Tiwari, Director, Secondary Education, Seema Jaunsari, Director, Primary Education, Vandana Garbyal, Financial Controller Gulfam Ali, Joint Director Raghuveer Lal Arya, Deputy Director Kamla Madhavwal, including departmental officers and officers of various organisations, Irrigation Department, Mandi Committee, Rural Works Department, etc., were present.
