Dehradun, 28 Feb: Graphic Era Deemed University organised a special Adobe Digital Creativity Skills programme in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Under this programme, Adobe conducted Professional Development sessions for the faculty to integrate Digital and Creativity skills into the curriculum powered by Adobe Express and Acrobat so that students can showcase their skills using videos, web pages, graphics and animation.
Present were Dr Mamta Rani Agarwal, Advisor, AICTE, and Garima Babbar, Head, Education and Skills, Adobe.
Director General, Graphic Era University, Prof Sanjay Jasola welcomed the Chief guest and asserted that Graphic Era academics had a strong relationship with industry. He also highlighted the fact that various Adobe licenced products are already used in Graphic Era by various staff and students.
Garima Babbar said that Adobe believes in Creativity for All and Adobe Express enables educators and students to express their ideas effectively, which leads to learning outcomes and building employability skills. This programme enabled faculty of Graphic Era to create lesson plans and projects, post which they are awarded the Certificate of Adobe Creative Educators. She stressed that Adobe Express is an online creative tool that is very beneficial for creative design and innovative thinking for students across all streams, be it arts, management, business or engineering
Advisor, AICTE, Dr Mamta Rani Aggarwal said that, in the coming times, there will be ample job opportunities based on creative thinking and futuristic skills. She said that, in the future, success as well as survival would depend on continuous learning and development of new skills. On these lines, more training sessions and operations would be organised in association with Graphic Era University.
On this occasion, Prof Sachin Ghai, Dr Manish Sharma, Dr Shuchi Badola and Arnav Kotiyal were given certificates of Master Educators and participation certificates were also distributed. The event was attended by Prof Dr DP Singh, Sarishma, and many heads of departments, faculty and students. Student Anushka Rawat anchored the session.
