HARIDWAR, 30 Dec: Bharat Sankalp Yatra was organised in Imlikheda and Piran Kaliyar near Roorkee on Saturday. Various departments running public welfare schemes of the Central and State government were present at this programme. Stalls were also set up by these departments about public welfare schemes for visitors. During the Sankalp Yatra at both the places, people also took oath to contribute towards a developed India by 2047. The oath was administered by Executive Officer Nagar Panchayat Adesh Kumar in Imlikheda. During this, he shared information about the Sankalp Yatra with the people. During this, the address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding developed India was broadcasted before the gathering. In this programme organised at both the places, many people deprived of the schemes so far got to connect with the welfare schemes. Camps of many departments were also organised during which health related checkup of 35 people was also carried out. Three women were linked to Ujjwala scheme, three were added to PM Vishwakarma Yojana. Chief Minister Mahalaxmi Kit was also distributed to women on this occasion. Officials of many departments including Health, District Industries and Social Welfare Department informed the people about various schemes.
The cut-out of Prime Minister Modi remained a major centre of attraction in the itinerary. A large number of participants took Selfies with this cut-out as a souvenir.
